The sun is behind the trees here, not on them, so the whole grove is lit from within rather than lit up. I painted it low and warm on purpose, the hour when color stops describing things and starts feeling like something. The grass in front is almost incidental, but it is what tells you how close you are standing, and how still you had to be to notice this.
